A Little Taste of a Greek?

Are you a fan of indulging in yogurt daily? Yes, yogurt, not a Greek. lol Ok this title may have been a little misleading, however, I have some informative tips on a yogurt that I have always lived by, before it even became a fad. Greek yogurt! Besides the taste of Greek yogurt being yummy and creamy, the reason why I consume it is because it has plenty of protein in it. One cup of plain, low-fat convention yogurt has between ten and twelve protein grams, whereas most Greek yogurts average around twenty. That’s double the amount of protein. And why do we want protein in our diet? To build and repair our muscles. Greek yogurt also is low in carbs, having about nine grams of carbohydrates in it, where as regular yogurt has about 15-17 grams of carbohydrates. So if you are trying to lose weight and control those carbs, Greek Yogurt would high benefit you. For those of you who are watching your sodium intake, Greek yogurt is very low in sodium it contains roughly fifty percent less sodium than standard yogurts.

But I do want to note that I do keep regular yogurt in the fridge. The reason being is because regular yogurt has almost three times the calcium that Greek yogurt has. Which I feel is equally important for our bones. Which do you prefer?
